The Douglas County Community Foundation will host two information sessions for organizations interested in applying for a 2013 grant from its community funds.

Sessions will be in the auditorium at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont, at 4 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.

Foundation staff will provide an overview of the grant guidelines and application form, and take questions.

The funds support a variety of projects that improve the quality of life in Douglas County, Kansas. Applications must come from nonprofit organizations, tribal entities or governments.

The deadline for grant applications is Dec. 3. Awards will be announced by March 1.
